Direct to Garment

Process

Also known as DTG printing, digital garment printing is a process of printing on textiles using specialized inkjet technology.  DTG is perfect for smaller shirt quantities and prints requiring unlimited colors or photo realistic qualities without the set up fees normally associated with other types of garment printing.

The easiest way to imagine this technology, is to think of printing on paper with your home inkjet printer.  The main difference is that our DTG machine prints on fabric.

When printing on white or lighter colored garments inks blend with the fabric and have a soft hand (no feel).  Printing on darker garments differs slightly in that the machine first prints a white ink layer then a top coat of colored ink resulting in a slightly thicker texture.

Environmentally Friendly

This process uses 100% water based inks. No emulsions or chemicals are used in this process.
